I saw that cp_student made a post about Ron Meritt over in the great inventions all time section http://www.inventionexposure.com/content/inventions-ron-meritt I worked with Ron Meritt through SIFE for my senior project. He just recently invented a product of his called the MiCorderâ„¢. With the MiCorderâ„¢ you can plug it into any radio, computer, stereo, etc. and convert any song currently being played into an mp3. More info can be found at http://www.olenstechnology.com/ about the product. On the olens technology website there is also the XPJ projector that Ron engineered and has manufactured in China.

Ron Meritt also invented a Pollution-Free Alternative Fuel Moter Conversion Kit back in 2004. "Meritt has designed the conversion kit to allow motors to run on either flamable or non-flammable fuels, meaning that a properly converted motor using this technology may run on just about any gas or liquid, including water." He received a lot of publicity because he put the pending patents, trade secrets, a fully functioning prototype engine, and all documentation associated with this invention up for auction on eBay. Here's post in the article section about the invention and Ron on LA Times. http://articles.latimes.com/2004/may/12/autos/hy-kit12 Enjoy!
